Come Back to Yourself and the People You Love.
Therapy for individuals and couples who are done pretending everything is “fine” (when it’s not).
You deserve more than just “fine.”
You've probably gotten good at carrying it — the anxiety, the grief, the distance that's crept into your relationship, the quiet sense that something is off. Maybe you've been waiting for it to pass on its own. It hasn't.
I'm Kate Berry, a licensed therapist in Whitefish, Montana. I work with individuals and couples who are ready to stop white-knuckling and start relating to life differently — building the skills to ride the hard stuff with a little more ease. My approach is warm, direct, and grounded in real evidence-based practice. No toxic positivity. No worksheet-as-therapy. Just honest, human work at a pace that fits you.
If you're ready to take the first step, I'd love to talk. Reach out to connect with me for a free 15-minute consultation.
What I Offer:
-
Something's off and you can't quite name it. Or you can name it — grief, burnout, anxiety, a life that stopped feeling like yours — and you just can't shake it alone.
I provide the space for you to slow down, get curious, and find your way back to solid ground. We'll work at your pace, in a style that feels approachable, toward what actually matters to you.
-
You're not fighting about the dishes. Those arguments are about so much more. Couples therapy isn't about keeping score — it's about figuring out what's actually happening between you and deciding together what comes next.
Whether you're in crisis, drifting apart, or just stuck in the same loop, we'll cut through the noise and get honest. I'll help you stop the blame game and start actually seeing each other again.
-
After the excitement of engagement and wedding planning, comes real life — and with it, the opportunity to build a strong, lasting partnership. My approach to premarital work is secular, inclusive, and LGBTQ+ affirming, designed to support all couples in laying a solid foundation for the road ahead.
Using the Gottman Method, we’ll dig into what really matters, build practical tools for communication and conflict, and create a partnership that can weather the real stuff — together.
-
Not every couple comes in wanting to save the relationship. Sometimes one of you is “in,” while the other might want “out.” Discernment counseling is a short-term process — typically one to five sessions — designed to help you get clear on what you actually want, before committing to couples therapy or deciding to separate.
There's no agenda here except clarity and confidence in whatever is next.
As a trained discernment counselor, each session has a clear purpose and is designed to keep you from spinning your wheels. This isn't open-ended. It's focused, time-limited, and designed to get you somewhere.
Hi, I’m Kate!
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and trained coaching professional based in Whitefish, Montana, and I work with individuals and couples who feel stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or tired of pretending everything is “fine.”
In our work together, you’ll have a space to be fully seen and heard, imperfections, contradictions, and all. My approach is warm, practical, and deeply human, with no pretense or judgment, just support for the work you want to do. Whether you’re here to process your own experiences, build clarity and acceptance, or strengthen your connection with a partner, we’ll focus on what matters most to you at a pace that feels right.
I draw from evidence-based approaches like the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, DBT, and ACT, but more than any method, our work is about what actually helps you. Together, we’ll explore, get curious, and find ways for you to feel more grounded, more authentic, and more connected to yourself and the people you care about.
